How to use Brevo/Sendinblue SMTP to send email in WordPress

The following documentation is divided into two frames:
– Create a Brevo [Old Name: Sendinblue] account and add a domain name
– Use SMTP API Key in WordPress WP SMTP Plugin

Frame 1:

  1. Login to Brevo
    https://account-app.brevo.com/account/login

2. Once you log in, you will get the app page

3.  On the top right, click your profile. Then select “Senders, Domains, & Dedicated IPs”

4. In a new page, click Domains

5. Click Add a Domain

6. Create a subdomain for sending emails like notify.domain.com

7. Copy those DNS records and add them to your domain DNS

8. Once you add them and “Authenticate the Email Domain”, it will show a Green signal “value matched”

9. Now click “Senders” page

10. Now to create an email sender, click Add a Sender

11. Enter the details of the email ending with your domain like: email@notify.domain.com

12. Now click the top right profile option, and click SMTP & API

13. Click Generate a New API Key

14. Copy the API Key



Frame 2:

1. Login to your WordPress and install the WP Mail SMTP plugin

2. Open the WP Mail SMTP plugin

3. Select Brevo and click “Save and Continue”

4. Input the “API Key”, “Sending Domain” and “From Email” details from the Brevo which you created in Frame 1

5. Click and Save and Continue

6. Now send a test email to any of your working email ID

7. Once sent, you’ll receive the email. That’s it, done.
